Hezbollah to Abstain from Military Intervention in Case of Limited US Strike on Iran
On Wednesday (February 25), an official from the group stated that while they would remain neutral in such an event, any attack targeting Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would be considered a "red line."
According to an AFP report, the Lebanese government had expressed concerns about a regional war if Hezbollah engaged in retaliation following a US strike on Tehran. This development comes shortly after Israel threatened to target Lebanon's civilian infrastructure, including airports, if the group joined the conflict.
Analysts suggest that Hezbollah's cautious stance aims to prevent a total devastation of Lebanon while maintaining its ideological commitment to the Iranian leadership.
