According to reports from The Jerusalem Post and Al Arabiya, IRGC officers are now directly overseeing the group’s military and security restructuring, replacing its traditional Lebanese leadership. This move follows the damage sustained during 14 months of conflict with Israel. Senior IRGC officials have recently held strategic briefings with Hezbollah’s missile units in the Bekaa Valley, a site that faced a deadly Israeli airstrike on Friday night, resulting in 12 deaths, including a high-ranking official.

This direct command comes amid repeated threats of military action against Iran from US President Donald Trump. Israeli state broadcaster KAN reported that Tel Aviv has detected heightened activity within Hezbollah’s rocket forces, suggesting a synchronized retaliatory strike involving IRGC, Iraqi militias, and Houthis if Iran is attacked. As the US ramps up its military presence in the region, experts believe that the IRGC’s hands-on management of Hezbollah marks a critical preparation for an imminent large-scale confrontation between Iran-backed proxies and the US-Israel alliance.
