Trump Extends Ramadan Greetings to Muslims Worldwide
As several countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, began observing fasting on Wednesday (February 18), the White House issued a statement on Tuesday (February 17) conveying the president’s message.
In the statement, Trump offered his best wishes to those observing Ramadan, calling the month a sacred period of spiritual renewal, deep reflection, and gratitude for God’s countless blessings.
He noted that millions of American Muslims mark the month through prayer and fasting, adding that Ramadan helps reinforce family and community bonds while promoting shared values such as compassion, charity, mercy, and humility.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to safeguarding religious liberty, Trump said the God-given right to practice one’s faith freely is a defining feature of the nation and a pillar of its prosperity and strength. He pledged continued efforts to ensure that all Americans can observe their faith without fear.
Concluding his message, Trump prayed for peace, unity, and blessings for the year ahead, wishing happiness at home and harmony across the world.
