Amid growing pressure from Washington to halt Tehran’s nuclear program, Khamenei emphasized that nuclear technology is Iran’s legitimate right and that the country would not bow to threats or coercion.

Trump recently referred to the expanded U.S. military presence in the Persian Gulf, suggesting that a change in Iran’s leadership could benefit the country. In response, Khamenei argued that despite decades of efforts, the United States has been unable to weaken the Islamic Republic and will not succeed in the future. He also warned that while warships are powerful weapons, there are capabilities that can neutralize them.

Tensions have escalated following a 12-day conflict in June between Israel and Iran. During that period, the United States reportedly carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and deployed additional military assets, including a second aircraft carrier, to the region.

Despite the heightened military climate, indirect talks between Tehran and Washington are ongoing in Oman. Iran has signaled willingness to reduce uranium enrichment in exchange for sanctions relief under a fair agreement, while the United States continues to insist on a complete halt to Iran’s nuclear program.
