The strategic base was officially inaugurated by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Seyed Majid Mousavi, Commander of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

At the ceremony, General Mousavi stated that Iran has made massive technological strides and multiplied its ballistic missile capabilities, making its deterrence power stronger than ever. During the inspection, the operational readiness of IRGC missile units was reviewed.

Significantly, General Mousavi announced a major shift in Iran’s military doctrine. He revealed that following the experience of the 12-day war with Israel in June 2025, Iran has moved from a defensive posture to a full offensive strategy. He emphasized that future priorities would include lightning-fast large-scale operations, asymmetric warfare, and harsh military tactics.

Experts note that this announcement comes at a time when President Donald Trump has warned of "dire consequences" and the U.S. Navy has increased its presence in the Arabian Sea. Analysts view this display of military strength as "counter-pressure" on Washington, especially as direct talks between the two nations are scheduled for Friday in Istanbul.
