Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti confirmed the figures during a press conference in Quetta on Sunday (February 1), stating that the bodies of the 145 deceased militants are currently in official custody. However, the violence also claimed the lives of 17 security personnel and 31 civilians during the initial assaults.

Chief Minister Bugti condemned the BLA's actions, questioning their legitimacy as a political entity and accusing them of attempting to destabilize Pakistan at the behest of foreign hostile forces. He reaffirmed the government's unwavering stance against militancy, declaring that they would not surrender under any circumstances. "They may create instability, but they cannot take an inch of our land," Bugti stated, vowing to make the region a "living hell" for terrorists. He emphasized that the state is committed to ensuring that those responsible for the bloodshed are brought to justice and that the nation's sovereignty remains protected.
