In a statement delivered by Ahmet Yıldız, Turkey’s UN envoy, the OIC criticized Israel for violating last year’s ceasefire agreements and escalating attacks. These actions have severely restricted humanitarian aid access and hindered the operations of international relief agencies. According to OIC data, 486 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,300 injured in attacks following the ceasefire announcement.

While welcoming the efforts toward a sustainable peace and the formation of a Palestinian committee to manage the Gaza Strip, the OIC warned that Israel’s actions are undermining these diplomatic strides. The organization reaffirmed its stance that lasting peace in the Middle East requires Israel’s full withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan Heights, and the protection of the legal and historical status of holy sites in Jerusalem.
