Another US Armada Advancing Toward Iran, Claims Trump
"Another beautiful armada is heading toward Iran right now. We'll see what happens," Trump stated in his signature style, expressing hope that Tehran would eventually agree to a deal. He further mocked the Iranian leadership, saying, "They should have made a deal the first time; they would have had a country today."
This announcement comes just a day after the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on social media that the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group had been stationed in the Middle East to maintain regional security. It remains unclear whether the "armada" Trump mentioned on Tuesday is a separate fleet or part of the previously announced deployment.
In a recent interview with Axios, Trump claimed that the naval force currently positioned near Iran is even larger than the forces deployed to Venezuela. He also asserted that Tehran is eager for dialogue, stating, "They are calling constantly; they want to talk and they want to make a deal. That’s what I know."
Tehran, however, remains defiant in the face of this display of military might. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has clarified that the arrival of foreign warships will not alter Iran's defense strategy or diplomatic stance. Iranian officials issued a counter-warning, declaring that they are fully prepared to deliver a "crushing response" to any act of aggression.
