In a formal statement of mourning, the Lebanese group Hezbollah described the death of Ali Nour al-Din as a "treacherous assassination." While the Israeli military later claimed responsibility for the strike, they alleged that Nour al-Din was an active member of Hezbollah. On the same day, Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health confirmed two additional fatalities in a separate strike conducted in Kafr Rumman, located in the Nabatieh region.

Lebanon’s Information Minister, Ziad Makary (formerly Paul Morcos in some reports), issued a stern condemnation of the attack. In a message shared on social media, he highlighted that neither journalists nor media crews are being spared from Israeli strikes. He called upon the international community to uphold its responsibilities and demanded guaranteed safety for media personnel working across Lebanon.

According to data from the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), at least six journalists have been killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon since 2023. However, local observers suggest the death toll has already surpassed ten. The death of Ali Nour al-Din underscores the escalating risks faced by journalists reporting in the Middle East.
