Speaking at an election campaign event and street rally organized by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Workers-Employees Union in the capital on Monday, January 26, he issued a sharp response to recent comments from opposing political camps.

Addressing remarks that "not a single seat would be given to the BNP," Abbas questioned the authority of such statements. "Who are you to give away seats? Have you taken this country on lease? The owner of the seats is Allah," he declared.

Regarding electoral transparency, Mirza Abbas stated that the BNP does not seek any form of "election engineering" or vote rigging. He reiterated the party's commitment to the principle of "your vote, your choice," urging voters to exercise their rights freely. He also defended his personal integrity, challenging critics to verify his income with the National Board of Revenue (NBR). "I have never resorted to theft or robbery. If you see my legitimate income, your head will spin," he added.

Addressing the discourse surrounding the credit for recent political movements, Abbas noted that while some youths claim total credit, the senior leadership has fought long battles against the previous regime on the streets for democracy and voting rights. He called for unity and collaborative effort, stating that national development is impossible without collective cooperation.

Mirza Abbas further alleged that a certain circle within the administration is still plotting "vote engineering." Warning voters to remain vigilant, he said, "Just as there was a struggle to secure the right to vote, another battle must be fought on February 12 to cast those votes." He urged party activists and the general public to thwart all conspiracies and turn up at polling centers fearlessly.
