Israel objects to interim administration in Gaza
Last week, the U.S. announced the formation of an interim administration for Gaza under the “Board of Peace,” chaired by President Donald Trump. The committee includes Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Qatari diplomat Al Al-Thawadi, and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, among other regional and international diplomats.
Israel stated on Saturday that the interim administration was formed without coordination with Israel and contradicts Israeli policy. The Israeli government will communicate with the U.S. regarding the issue.
Meanwhile, invitations to join the Board of Peace to oversee the administration have been extended to the presidents of Turkey and Egypt. However, Palestinians have expressed doubts about the effectiveness of this initiative amid ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza.
