According to reports from CNN and other US media outlets, Trump signed the 'Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act', a bill designed to allow schools to provide whole milk and 2% fat milk to students. This law repeals restrictions imposed during former President Barack Obama’s administration, which had previously limited school milk supplies to only fat-free or low-fat options.

Pointing to the milk bottle on his desk during the signing, Trump remarked that the bottle had been sitting there for five to six days. His comment drew rounds of laughter from the journalists and officials present. Continuing the joke, Trump said, “This is a real bottle. You can take a sip right from here if you want.”

He also reminisced about his childhood, mentioning how everyone used to drink milk from the same bottle back then, though that is rarely seen now. Trump jokingly referred to the milk as being "semi-fresh."

Notably, the bill was passed unanimously by both houses of the US Congress in late 2025. Along with members of Congress, representatives from the dairy industry were also present at the signing ceremony.
