Saudi Arabia Takes Strong Stance in Favor of Iran

Two sources close to the Saudi government confirmed this information on Wednesday, January 14. The news was reported by Daily Sabah, citing the news agency AFP. According to the sources, Saudi Arabia conveyed this message to Iran shortly after the U.S. issued warnings of potential military action in response to Tehran’s harsh crackdown on ongoing anti-government protests.

Iran has also reacted in strong terms. Tehran warned that it would launch retaliatory strikes against U.S. military and naval assets if any new attacks were carried out against them.

A source close to the Saudi military stated that Saudi Arabia has directly informed Iran that they will not be part of any military operation and will not authorize the use of their airspace or territory. Government sources further confirmed that this message has been officially delivered to Iran.

According to analysts, Saudi Arabia’s position is significant in regional politics.
