In response to a query regarding the shifting dynamics between Bangladesh and Pakistan, the Army Chief noted the importance of understanding the nature of the current government in Dhaka. "We need to see whether the interim government's decisions are meant for the next four to five months or for a longer term of four to five years. India will evaluate its responses based on that context," he explained.

General Dwivedi further highlighted that communication channels across the Army, Navy, and Air Force are completely open to prevent any misunderstandings. He mentioned being in regular contact with his Bangladeshi counterpart and noted that an Indian delegation recently visited Bangladesh to engage with relevant stakeholders.

Regarding regional military build-ups, he remarked, "Enhancing military capability is a continuous process for every nation. While India is developing its own strength, others are doing the same. However, we are keeping a very close watch on the situation in Bangladesh."
