Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zahid Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Bangladesh Air Chief Hasan Mahmud Khan reportedly discussed the acquisition in detail. Islamabad has promised fast delivery of the jets, full training, and long-term support to Dhaka.

The move is seen as an effort by Pakistan to leverage its military achievements and enhance strategic ties with Bangladesh, especially after strained relations between Bangladesh and India. The JF-17 Thunder has already been part of defense deals with countries like Azerbaijan and Libya, and Pakistan views it as a key product of its growing defense industry.

The discussions also signal closer defense and trade cooperation between the two South Asian neighbors amid regional security considerations.
