Vijay and Rashmika Officially Married in a Royal Udaipur Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows in a deeply personal and intimate ceremony at the ultra-luxurious ITC Mementos, Ekaaya in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Surrounded by the serene Aravalli hills, the wedding was a beautiful blend of heritage and tradition, attended by approximately 100 close family members and friends.
To honor their diverse cultural backgrounds, the couple organized two separate ceremonies on their wedding day. The first ceremony, a traditional Telugu Hindu wedding, took place during an auspicious muhuratam at 10:10 AM, where Vijay’s family customs were followed. A second ceremony, adhering to Kodava traditions to celebrate Rashmika’s roots, is scheduled for this evening. One of the most touching moments of the festivities occurred during the pre-wedding rituals when Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, presented Rashmika with traditional heirloom bangles as a symbol of acceptance and love.
The wedding, themed "The Wedding of ViRash," was a direct tribute to their fans who coined the name "ViRash" years ago. The four-day celebration featured a mix of high-energy fun and refined elegance, including a "ViRash Premiere League" cricket match, poolside volleyball, a regal Japanese-themed dinner, and traditional meals served on banana leaves. High-profile guests spotted at the venue included directors Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Tharun Bhascker, and Rahul Ravindran, along with actress Eesha Rebba and members of the Ambani family.
Following the private ceremonies in Udaipur, the newlyweds are set to host a grand, star-studded reception for their colleagues from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi film industries. The reception will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad, starting at 7:00 PM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to the couple, wishing them a lifetime of partnership and happiness, though he was unable to attend due to a state visit to Israel.
