According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the ban was implemented by 'Screening Services Group' ahead of a scheduled stand-up comedy show this week. The organizers had conditioned the performance on Hochman publicly expressing his opposition to the atrocities against Palestinians on social media. However, Hochman declined to take such a stance. Following his refusal, Theatre President Michael S. Hall announced the lifetime ban, stating their firm opposition to any form of genocide. Despite the cancellation and the permanent ban, Hochman remains defiant, describing the incident as a "test of loyalty" and prioritizing his nationalist ideology over his professional career.
