Mithila emphasized that the journey toward equality must begin at home. She stated, "We must eliminate the division of labor based on gender. The idea that certain tasks are for women and others for men needs to change." According to her, if families treat both genders with equal priority, societal disparities will naturally diminish.

She also highlighted the 'invisible' labor of women, noting that the immense effort a woman puts into managing a household often lacks financial recognition. For women balancing both a career and a home, Mithila suggested that mutual empathy and cooperation between spouses are the keys to a balanced life. Mithila, a Chancellor’s Gold Medalist with two Master's degrees and 17 years of experience at BRAC International, continues to be a vocal advocate for systemic social change.
