According to the new decision, the price of the finest quality 22-carat gold has been slashed by Tk 2,158 per bhori (11.664 grams). Consequently, the new price for 22-carat gold stands at Tk 2,40,337 per bhori.

BAJUS officially shared this updated price list through a press release on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026, and the rates were made effective nationwide from 10:00 AM today.

Market Stability and Global Trends BAJUS stated that the adjustment was made in line with the decreasing price of pure gold (Tejabi gold) in the local market and to maintain consistency with international market trends. Notably, the last price hike occurred on April 30, when prices surged by Tk 2,158 to reach a record Tk 2,42,495 per bhori. This quick reversal to lower prices is expected to bring a sense of stability to the jewelry market.

  • Price Hikes: 33 times.
