Bangladesh Bank Acquires $25 Million to Strengthen Reserves
Arif Hossain Khan, the Executive Director and Spokesperson of the central bank, confirmed that the currency was bought from two commercial banks at a cut-off rate of BDT 122.30 per dollar. This acquisition brings the total volume of US dollars purchased by the central bank in the current 2025-26 fiscal year to $5.49 billion, reflecting a strategic move to bolster the country's financial reserves.
