Bangladesh Bank's Executive Director and Spokesperson, Arif Hossain Khan, confirmed on Monday that according to the IMF’s BPM6 manual, the reserves currently stand at $29.47 billion, up from $28.74 billion recorded on February 2. This notable increase in both gross and net calculations within just one week is being hailed as a positive sign for the national economy. The central bank highlighted that the net reserves, calculated by deducting short-term liabilities from the total, reflect a strengthening economic position for the country.
