Gold Prices Plunge by ৳15,000 in a Single Day

The new pricing has come into effect today, Saturday, January 31, at 10:00 AM.In a press release issued by the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, the association stated that this adjustment follows a decline in the price of pure gold (Tejabi gold) in the local market.

Silver Prices Also ReducedAlongside gold, the price of silver has also been lowered. According to the new price list, 22-carat silver is now set at ৳7,290 per bhori. Additionally, 21-carat silver will sell for ৳6,940, while 18-carat silver will be priced at ৳5,949.Over the past week, domestic prices had been hiked repeatedly due to a surge in the global market. However, traders believe this substantial price drop within a week's time will bring much-needed relief to general consumers.
